Confirmed: Samsung Galaxy S III uses Corning Gorilla Glass 2


Corning and Samsung officially confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S III uses Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

Corning Gorilla Glass 2 was revealed at CES 2012 in Las Vegas earlier this year, it’s 20% thinner than the previous  generation but still provides same impact and scratch protection.

Great news, but looking at this photo provided by Phone Arena, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is not “indestructible” (one unlucky Galaxy S III owner found this out the hard way.) Ouch!
