Want to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S III? You can now -
the Galaxy S III is up for pre-order on Amazon Wireless with the price set at
the hefty $800 off contract. This will make you one of the first happy owners
of the handset as Amazon promises to bring it to you on or after June 4th.
Now, the price is high, but you do get a completely
unlocked, not tied to any carrier, international version of the SGS III. Plus,
chances are that this version will receive updates faster than carrier-branded
ones, where the operator takes an extra two or so months to make the update
available.
In case, you’ve somehow forgotten about the Galaxy S III,
it’s the hottest Android handset released so far with pre-orders from carriers
reaching 9 million. It features a huge, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.4GHz
quad-core processor and an 8-megapixel camaera, all enclosed in a
nature-inspired body with a polycarbonate back cover. It also packs some neat
features on top of the standard Android ICS like a simplified TouchWiz, a
Siri-like voice assistant S Voice, and others.
